There is a huge need right now to provide groceries for families that have lost income and are struggling to make ends meet. Our community is pulling together to meet this need. Through partnerships with Ikea, Community Action Partnership, OC Food Bank, and the City of Costa Mesa, there will be a drive-through food pantry happening every Thursday for the next 8 weeks starting on April 23rd in the Ikea Costa Mesa parking lot.


Set-up volunteers (15-20 needed) (volunteer time 5:30am-9am) this role will include stoking each of the 30 stations and facilitating check-in for the recipients.  


Distribution volunteers (90-120 needed) (volunteer time 8am-1130am) this food distribution will be serving 1000 families in just 2 hours so we'll need at least 100 volunteers to make that happen. You will be helping to load the cars as they come up and keep the loading stations stocked. We will ask that you arrive by 8 am to check-in and get your station assignment. 


Clean-up volunteers (15-20 needed) (volunteer time 1045am-2pm) Clean-up is always the least staffed team at any event, so we'd appreciate your help on this one! It'll only be 2 hours at the most to get everything broken down and cleared out after the distribution is finished.
