Donate therapeutic art supplies for foster teens.
Art therapy can be used as a complement to traditional mental health treatment. The aim is to manage behaviors, process feelings, and reduce stress and anxiety. It can help with self-discovery, self-esteem and can be a healthy outlet for expressing and letting go of feelings and fears.
Simply put, art affords children in foster care the ability to have fun and enjoy themselves. When they have already lost so much, it is vital to enable them to have enjoyment in their lives. The ability to have fun can significantly help with the transitions they are facing.
Therefore, we would like to donate art supplies to Olive Crest foster teens. The recipients range in age from 12 to 17.
