Paul and Silas are imprisoned for sharing the Gospel. Even though they are in a seemingly hopeless situation, they still worship and cry out to God when it seems He has forgotten them. A huge earthquake brings down the prison walls andξreleases the chains of theξprisoners, setting them free.ξSometimes when God calls us to be obedient to Him, there is suffering and sacrifice involved. Even in the midst of a dark night of the soul, it is imperative that we worship God before He moves and works rather than wait for Him to do something before we worship Him. True faith is knowing that God has not left us, even when we don’t feel His presence.
