Jesus responded, “My father is always working to this very day, and I too am working.”

John 5:17 (NIV)

What’s more, the same Spirit that hovered over the waters of creation, breathed life into Jesus’ body, and catalyzed a movement unlike any other is moving through the Church today. This foundational truth infuses our present reality with hope and expectation for a mighty move of God’s Spirit to come. And we believe this is just the beginning of what God is doing in and through His Church during this season of disruption. With this in mind we look to the future with excitement and anticipation. We celebrate what God has done through this church over the last 23 years, but we know there is more. And as we consider the future of our church, we want to embody this posture in the way we move forward.

Practically, we recognize the complexities around regathering in the future and want to carefully discern how we move forward safely and in sync with the movement of the Holy Spirit. As such, we will be implementing a multi-phased plan to connect, equip, and mobilize our community towards reaching Orange County and gathering in person.

We desire to move as a church into all that God has for us with the following three strategic movements, each one building on the next:

Movement One: Move to a Gathered Online Community

As a scattered church, we are gathering digitally on Sundays for online services and across ministries. Through these digital efforts we are empowering and equipping our community to become more like Jesus and do the things he does. We will continue to provide pastoral care, build and grow prayer teams, host E-Groups, and live missionally.

Movement Two: Move to “Watch Party” Small Group Gatherings

While continuing movement #1, our efforts will move toward gathering through small group watch parties. These will be through existing community groups and new groups (i.e. life groups, common groups, serve teams, and more). With a deep intentionality around mission, we will equip and resource our community to reach those we are in proximity with including our neighbors, families, friends, coworkers, and more through these watch parties. If you are interested in hosting a watch party, please fill out the form and someone will be in touch with you on next steps!

Movement Three: Move to Rockharbor Campus Locations

While continuing movements #1 and #2, we will regather in person on Rockharbor campuses. This will be a process of prayer and discernment in line with the Holy Spirit and in compliance with health officials. There is not a date or timeline for this but we look forward to the day we can safely gather and worship together.
