We Gather to Worship because we seek to glorify, remember, respond to, and be transformed by God. We do this together because there is a unique nature to gathering as a corporate body to worship.
This is our goal. Below are a couple ways you can get involved during this season of pandemic, social distancing, and ‘stay-at-home’ orders, with our worship team at Rockharbor Charlotte.
Charlotte Community Playlist
We have asked and you have delivered. Many of you responded to our post on our Charlotte Community Page – “Post below a worship song you’ve had on repeat in the last week and tell us why you are connecting with it!” We’ve compiled them and put them here. Do yourself a favor and check it out, play it throughout your day!
At Home Excerise
As we’re unable to gather in person we wanted to send out some practical ways to worship in your homes throughout the week.
This week we’ve created a Lectio Divina (Latin word for “divine reading”) on Psalm 90 which is the passage Pastor Thad preached from this week. The idea behind Lectio is to contemplate on scripture. Instead of merely reading, the encouragement behind it is to pray, read, meditate and contemplate the scripture. In my personal experience I’ve found this type of worship to be really special. It allows you to read the words differently and open up your heart to what God may be saying to you personally through His living word! Set aside 30 minutes this week to be still, listen and respond. Miss you all greatly!
