Local Engagement

Rockharbor has a number of local initiatives and ministries they serve. Coming alongside these ministries helps us move beyond our own church communities, and helps us meet the specific needs of those around us. Rockharbor is committed to pursuing justice in the surrounding local communities.

    Labors of Love

    Labors of Love is part of a local neighboring initiative that seeks to identify and serve neighbors in need through manual labor projects such as painting and maintenance.

    Watts Powerhouse Church

    Watts Powerhouse Church is a growing body reaching out and changing lives through needed ministries with the love of Jesus. The mission of this ministry is to break the cycle of inter-generational poverty and hopelessness in the Los Angeles neighborhood of Watts.

    YoungLives

    YoungLives gives teen parents the support and love they need. Through one-on-one mentoring, monthly clubs and annual camps, teen moms and dads are empowered to make positive choices, set and achieve goals, and live a future rooted in Christ.

    Foster Teen Ministry

    Foster Teen Ministry exists to help fill the gap in care for foster teens. The ministry’s desire is to build lasting life-long relationships, community, partnership, and create an atmosphere to help every youth remember why they’re uniquely deserving of a forever home. Volunteers can serve at our monthly gatherings that are hosted on the 3rd Saturday of the month. (volunteers must be over the age of 21).

    Royal Family Kids

    Royal Family Kids Camp exists to take foster kids, ages 6-11, through a one-week summer camp to model the love of Jesus Christ and teach them that there is a God that loves them. Come experience the difference a week of volunteering can make in the life of a child!*

    Teen Camp

    Teen Camp provides a positive, caring, and safe environment for campers to build relationships with one another and experience the love of God. Come plant seeds of hope for youth in the foster care system by volunteering!

Global Engagement

Rockharbor is strategically invested in global partnerships in Uganda, India, and Mexico. We are coming alongside communities who are invested in God’s ongoing work around the world.

    Uganda

    Rockharbor has been partnered with Gulu Bible Community Church since 2006. After the nation was war torn, the Lord opened a door to partner with key leaders to plant GBCC. Today, we continue to work alongside the church to see Jesus made known through a church planting movement across Uganda and aid in the development of local business and education through Renew Gulu.

    Mexico

    Alongside our ministry partner Mizpa Church, Rockharbor regularly sends teams to Tecate and its surrounding communities, like Pedregal, to care for the tangible and physical needs of the people there. Through house-build trips and ministry trips aimed at relationship building, we are both witnessing and joining with Jesus as he brings hope to this area.

    India

    Harvest India has a mission to spread the Good News to every village in India. Rockharbor came alongside Harvest India in 2005 and has been sending short-term teams to assist them every year since. Harvest India cares for the sick, orphans, widows, and the poor through operating multiple children’s home, colleges, medical clinics and humanitarian efforts.

Today, you can change the life of a child in Gulu, Uganda by sponsoring them for only $38 per month. Your child will receive school fees, uniforms, Christian training through Gulu Bible Community Church, medical care, but most of all...love and a chance to thrive!

Harvest India

As a church, we support a large children’s home that cares for more than 350 children. We invite you to step into this story by becoming a monthly supporter of one or more of these children. For just $45 a month, you can help transform the future of a child by providing shelter, food, medical care, education and the love of Christ.
